Jeff BaerFounder and CEO
baer_0161_headshotJeff Baer is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of LinkeDrive, Inc where he leads the vision and execution for the company’s enterprise mobile platform (DATA) and PedalCoach® application. As the foundation for the “Internet of Trucks,” these integrated, mobile solutions increase fuel efficiency, safety and driver retention rates for the transportation industry.  Prior to LinkeDrive, Baer led A123 System’s sales of lithium ion energy storage for the commercial vehicle market.  Earlier, he led business development at RAMP Holdings (BBN) and engineered powertrain systems and electronic engine controls for trucks at Ford Motor Company.

Baer holds an MBA (Sloan School of Management) and SM in Engineering Systems from M.I.T. and is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Mechanical Engineering program as well as a letterwinner and Academic All-American for the Northwestern Wildcats football team, earning an athletic scholarship having begun as a walk-on.


JD DoyleChief Technology Officer  

JD Headshot 1 bJD has 20 years of product development and executive leadership experience developing leading edge technology for the enterprise and communications markets. JD has designed, built and deployed monitoring systems for voice, video and mobile data networks. His products have monetized diagnostic data through the use of big data analytic’s and modern Business Intelligence techniques. He has worked with large enterprises and start-ups defining best practices for software development.  JD has worked in executive roles as General Manager, CTO, and Senior VP of Engineering at early and late stage start-ups.

JD has five patents in communications technology and protocol processing. He has a BA in Mathematics from Boston College.


Dan SullivanVice President of Engineering  

danDan joined LinkeDrive to build PedalCoach and to lay the architectural foundation for LinkeDrive’s vehicle data intelligence platform.  Prior to LinkeDrive, Dan was Director of Engineering at RAMP (formerly EveryZing) and led the development and scaling of RAMP’s search, web, and speech-to-text SaaS solutions deployed across hundreds of customer websites.  Before RAMP and as part of BBN Technologies, Dan led the team that invented and built PodZinger, an audio/video search engine that uses speech recognition technology. PodZinger was rebranded as EveryZing, spun out of BBN as a venture funded company, and became RAMP.

Prior to BBN/PodZinger, Dan worked in several BBN business units as an engineering manager and a software engineer. Dan has BS and MS degrees from Northeastern University.

George ConradesDirector

Screen Shot 2016-01-15 at 3.42.10 PMGeorge Conrades was named chairman and chief executive officer of Akamai in April 1999, bringing a broad range of business experience in the computing, Internet, telecommunications, and media industries. Mr. Conrades became Executive Chairman of Akamai in April 2005 and became Chairman in July 2010.

Before joining Akamai, Mr. Conrades was executive vice president and president of GTE Internetworking following the firm’s acquisition of BBN Corporation in 1997. At GTE, he was responsible for creating GTE Internetworking and leading GTE’s rapid growth in the data and Internet business, including integrated telecommunications services.

From 1994 until GTE’s acquisition of BBN, Mr. Conrades served as CEO of BBN, which became one of the industry’s top-tier ISPs. BBN helped build the ARPANET, the forerunner to today’s modern Internet.

Prior to BBN, Mr. Conrades was an IBM senior vice president and member of IBM’s Corporate Management Board. There, he was responsible for several of its key businesses including IBM United States, IBM Asia/Pacific and two manufacturing and development groups.

In addition to Akamai, Mr. Conrades serves on the Board of Directors of Oracle, Harley-Davidson, and Ironwood Pharmaceuticals. He also serves as venture partner emeritus at Polaris Venture Partners, and is Managing Partner of Longfellow Venture Partners, an early stage investment company. Mr. Conrades also is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Mr. Conrades is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University with majors in physics and mathematics. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
